Magadachi, gain invincibility buff when you use it while having tenryu stack buff. Zantei, can only parry and counter single atk only, use it wisely. As for buying higher tier on a skill tree you already have, the prices are fixed for every tier, no matter how many skill trees you have.

If you want more damage, invest on skills like War Cry instead.īuying skills become more expensive the more skill trees you have. Short Rest on survival skill is optional. It loses Armor Break ailment while Tenryu is active, which is why Lv1 Zantei is used to save skill points. Zantei Settetsu, when Tenryu buff is not active, will deal Armor Break every successful parry. Both resets Tenryu stacks and extends duration. When Tenryu is active, both skills change into Zannou. Upon reaching tier 4, katana builds changes drastically into offensive most of the time. Magadachi is purely for defense (pre-tier 4), while Zantei is for counterattack (pre and post tier 4). War Cry can be commonly found in party tanks and 2hs/1hs users. Ninja's wind skill will be a better option if u r using ninja build. War Cry is good but if you play in party more than solo, get Flash Blast from Dual Sword skills. If Maximum MP is low, then get MaxMP survival skill. If you want support skills, go for brave aura. Zantei is for parry and magadhachi for invincibility. Then you basically spam tenryu as long as you need and keep extending the tenryu buff. You just start with tenryu, stack 3-4 times and then use magadhachi(or kasumi if t5) to extend buff. The old playstyle based on tenryu was kind of hard and technical. bouncing blade>shadowless(save)>finale(smite) to load garyou charges and when garyou charge 8+/10 use shadowless>garyou(smite)>finale(smite) Zantei blocks all hits for 2sec(invincible) and deals dmg to the enemy.Īfter t5 the ktn playstyle completely changed. magadhachi reduces dmg as well as gives invincibility aid for 2sec. If the buff is active :- both skills turns into zannou effect which increases the attack multiplier greatly dealing massive dmg. If the buff is not present :- magadhachi reduces incoming dmg. When u use tenryu slash it gives a tenryu buff(can be seen under mp bar). Magadhachi and Zantei have different effects depending on tenryu buff.
